As some of you know, I have great responsibilities at work.
I find trading challenging, amusing and benefit from it handsomely.
This blog, however, was not intended to hold the hand of the
novice trader.
I have come to realize, moreover, that not everyone that follows
my blog is an adept trader.
It is unfair for this group that I do not provide more guidance,
but the fact that I have many other obligations makes this goal
impossible.
So, unless and until I have more time, I will refrain from having
a blog which carries the affliction of people's money.
I do thank all(well, almost all) of you for making this endeavor
pleasant.

Thank you for all you have done. Good luck with future endeavors.
Will,
In its own way, this post tops everything else you have done. Sharing your knowledge is generous, acting on integrity is even better.
Will your blog disappear soon, or will you leave it for your readers to study?
Thks, Will for all your wonderful insights.
Thank you, Will, for sharing your knowledge so genuinely. Shall miss your missive.
Will, how much did you lose in the market? :)

I understand and can appreciate your position. And respect you more for taking it. But will sorely miss your opinions. Best wishes.
Thanks for the clarification Will.

My take is that yes, novice traders were reading your blog and the daily up/down indicators were confusing. But please keep the weekend big picture coming. This will help small investors from being screwed up by big bankers.
Thanks for you hard work.
You've done great things here.... I guess I'll make up the intervals as a I go along...
I've never traded on your postings. I've always found your charts and observations extraordinarily insightful, however. They’re simply fascinating from a macroeconomic standpoint. I don’t know how many times I’ve come home to tell my wife “That Will Rahal guy had the most amazing posting today…”.
Thanks for your time and effort. Your analysis and insight will be missed.
Best of Luck!
Tim
Thank you for all you've done, Will.
You should offer a subscription service/email alerts to your price momentum indicator. Doesn't need to be daily, only when it's signaling a major top. This would be really help to investors like myself who want to know when a swing high is imminent.
Again, thank you for everything.
I enthusiastically second Tim's suggestion. Just postings like 'Service Economy Peril: The Evidence' are terrific.
Sorry to see you go Will. I know you have been thinking about this for a while. Perhaps you can keep the blog up for the occasional (deep) economic insight? All the best from a long-time reader, Jeff Pietsch
Will,
I hope that after a few weeks you will be bored enough to come back to you blog and post once a week or a couple of times a month.
We miss you!
Will,
You've given us so much, I wanted to give a little something in return. Here's a composition on what the site has brought us. I wouldn't try to trade it but... who knows?
THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES
(-to the tune by the same name-)
Thanks for the memories,
@ Will Rahal blogspot,
We thought we all were hot,
Until the market turned,
and than we had to learn,
That simply said, we're not!
But thanks, thanks for the memories.
Mark M would comment here,
And Winn would point and steer,
When Naryana posted too,
We hoped she was a dear;
Old SS adds 2 cents,
He traded it for pence;
But in the end to win or lose,
It doesn't make much sense.
Except to thank you for,
Thanks for the memories.
Now I am old with time
Past 60 I still climb
And as I'm pointed toward the end
I see it all in time.
A door will open than,
But stepping through's just fine;
Cause I can thank you for
Thanks for the memories.
All the Best
SS
Thanks for the composition, SS!
Hey Will,
Just an idea: Consider putting up your swing trading top and bottom indicator up for a small fee and, if you don't need or want the money, donate it. If you put it up for $20-30 a month, and get a 100 subscribers, you could be donating $2000 - 3,000 a month to your local homeless shelter, or your favorite charity. Or you could buy a nice, new SUV every year... think about it!
